Held under the conceptual patronage of the Royal Household of Eswatini — the Ngwenyama, who at his coronation on 25 April 1986 wore the leopard skin (emajobo) that symbolises the Nkwe. 2027 marks His Majesty's 41st year on the throne. Royal patronage is subject to formal engagement with the King's Office.

The framework

The Nkwe Theory of Leadership.

The Nkwe — the leopard in siSwati — is the ceremonial attire of kingship in Eswatini. When King Mswati III was crowned on 25 April 1986, he appeared before his people wearing the leopard skin and the chief's headdress of black ostrich feathers. The King bears the title Ngwenyama (lion); the Queen Mother bears the title Ndlovukati(she-elephant). The two apex predators of the African bush — lion and leopard — are united in one sovereign.

The Nkwe Theory of Leadership distils this royal cosmology into five teachable dimensions. Each pillar becomes a conference track. Each track becomes a leadership practice for African executives, public servants, and founders.

Why the leopard, not the lion?The National Museum of South Africa confirms: “In some South African cultures, the leopard commands even greater reverence than the lion.” The leopard is the apex predator that operates alone, with patience, with courage — the perfect metaphor for the African operating-class leader.

The venue

Palazzo International Convention Centre & Five-Star Hotel.

The Ezulwini Palazzo was officially opened on 26 April 2026 by His Majesty King Mswati III as the centrepiece of his 40-year Ruby Jubilee celebrations, attended by South African President Cyril Ramaphosa and SADC heads of state. The 7-storey, 51,000 m² hotel and 42,000 m² convention centre is Eswatini's flagship MICE destination — and a fitting venue for a continental leadership convening.

The Palazzo is positioned for high-value clientele, multinational corporations, development agencies, and regional organisations. The 1,800-seat two-level theatre and AU-grade chamber hall make it the only Eswatini venue capable of hosting a Heads-of-State-level convening. A direct precedent: the Eswatini Investment Conference (EIC) 2026, held there 29-31 July 2026.
